Anyone have rad working with newer versions of Arduino. Like Arduino
18?

Arduono is at 0017 only. We are still discussing content of a release
candidate for 0018!

That is what I meant.  It was a miss type.

I havent put the finishing touches on this yet, but you can start here to see what I did to get 17 working:

Bryan,

Does "finishing touches" mean your version runs fine with 17, or is it "almost there"?

Thanks - Sophie

"release candidate" means a trial run. 0018 RC1 does not exist yet. We are literally still discussing what fixes and what innovations to put into it.

That said, I expect no surprises and no  incompatibilities. One big issue right now is conflicting timers between Servo and a new non-blocking Tone generator. Easy enought to fix,but we are looking for a clean resolution.

Sophie,

Bryan is describing the status of the current Arduino release
candidate. RAD should work fine with Arduino 0017, which is their most
recent already released version.

If you encounter any problems, come back here and let us know.

yours,

Greg

It means that it runs fine for me once i change the [hardware|software].yml to match what I'm working on.

Thanks Greg.

I have the 0.3.0 RAD gem from "madrona-rad" branch in github, and it
only seems to work with Arduino-015. When I change software.yml to use
017 I get
No such file or directory ... Applications/Arduino/hardware/
boards.txt
Looks like Arduino 015 and 016 for Mac install a regular folder at the
top level (which contains hardware/boards.txt etc.) while 017 installs
the Arduino app itself at the top level.

Should I be using a different RAD gem?

Thanks --- Sophie

i built run rad with 018 - the folder structure in 018 changed so
massaging of makefile.erb is needed ...

on osx boards.txt is at :

017 <installed_path>/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/
boards.txt
018 <installed_path>/Arduino-018rc1.app/Contents/Resources/Java/
hardware/arduino/boards.txt

what is the folder structure on win and linux ?
