<info type="personal">I have used Git on various projects, and I am
most of the time under linux when at home (when I am developping,
since I do not develop at work, even if I am in the IT
buisiness).</info>

I don't know the share of Windows ruby applications developpers, but
it would good to know.
Anyway, Git has suffered a lot of bad press when it comes to Windows support.
Some projects favor SVN over Git (http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/87174)

Personally I prefer Bazaar.
Did you envision the use of Bazaar (or SVN) for hosting the code of Anvil ?

I think git has gotten some bad press with Windows but I have seen people use it just fine on XP.  Seems to be a useless argument moving forward.  There are plenty of resources online for using git with Windows, if a developer can't figure it out there is something wrong.  Not trying to be an ass :-)
