setting the 'age' parameter for database backups?

I see in the code that an --age switch could be sent to the database backup command to set the number of days. We don't need (and don't have disc space for!) 7 days worth of backups. I'm not clear on where we put this option... I assume somewhere in rubber-mysql.yml but the syntax is not clear and I don't see any examples.
