Hello,

I installed quagga as manual says:

git clone git://github.com/rtrlib/quagga-rtrlib.git
./configure --enable-vtysh --enable-rpki
make
make install

I realized that when I try to configure quagga using vtysh, I cannot see rpki commands.
Only when using: telnet localhost bgpd

Is there any limitation  for vtysh usage?

I was intending to use quagga-rtrlib + core (http://cs.itd.nrl.navy.mil/work/core/)

Thanks,
Pablo

Hello Pablo,

thank you for your interest. I am the developer who is responsible for integrating RTRLib into Quagga. It took me some time to answer because I have been on summer vacation. The vtysh usage has never been tested until now. So yes there is the limitation that it is not supported. But I was able to reproduce the behavior you reported. I will have a look into vtysh code and try to fix it. I will give a status report next week.

Kind regards,
Michael Mester

Hello Michael,

Thank you for the answer,

I was able configure quagga using telnet, and it worked well on standard ubuntu linux.

What I was trying to achieve, was to build a test environment using quagga + coreemu.

It seems that coreemu relies on vtysh to apply configuration, because even when I configured by telnet
the connection to cache didn't work, while ping was ok.

I'll try to talk to coreemu's folks, maybe they can explain me what is happening.

Thank you very much,
Congratulations for this great project !!!

Hello,
I added vtysh support to our feature branch. I hope it helps.
