I got quotation from one of the cctv camera provider. He gave the quotation after visiting the site last night. 
It would be great if any one who have expertise in this field can get better quotation than this. I am sure the price can be reduced further with bargain and bulk order.
Camera and DVR made by Securus (website: http://securuscctv.com). Live or past recordings can be viewed any where with internet access.
1TB hard drive is good enough to store one month recording for 4 cameras.

As you can see from the table below, cctv camera for lift is more expensive because of long cable requirement (3bundles of wire each 80m long, i.e 4,500/-) and installation charges (2,000/-).

For Two Lifts Only (it would cost around 30k):

I think that is a valid point that installing cctv is the only option otherwise our elevators might just end up as indian railway toilets. I know this needs some effort but I think its worth it.

until slowly the walls began to deface again..

You need a CCTV, else you can't do much.

It is the same reason why Phone's get stolen from lifts too !

But I am pretty sure, that in many cases our co residents are also involved. I do not say that these kinds of residents are in majority, but even after being in minority, they are able to create nuisance. Two years back , many of the cars / walls were  damaged by spray paints.
 
Names that appear with phone numbers, should be checked by calling the phone numbers and verifying the identity.  Many times messages are in English as well. I doubt, whether our support staff and workers are so educated in English language that they use appropriate words.
 
CCTV camera is probably not a workable solution in elevators.

Same is the case in Block -12 (Elevator ) as well.

Although, it is not humanly possible to keep 24X7 check for any body.

This is result/ indication of sick minds surrounding us. Number of personalities of this kind may be negligible, but surely they spoil environment.

I am not sure how to keep a check on such activities but we need to address this, as it leaves a real bad impression on kids and adults alike. Atleast as a first step we should request the housekeeping to wipe these off and keep a strict vigil on such activities as it dents the decorum of the community.
