Just for your information.

If you have added ppa:v-launchpad-jochen-sprickerhof-de/pcl with
add-apt-repository before and had been using libpcl from this before
install ros hydro, package inconsistencies will cause problems. Especially
with the MoveIt! related packages.

Just for your information.

If you added ppa:v-launchpad-jochen-sprickerhof-de/pcl and had been using
packages from this repositories before installing ROS Hydro, you will run
into package inconsistency problems.
You should use ppa-purge to purge all packages belonging to this repository
before installing the MoveIt! related packages for the robots.

Yes, that's right, so long as the user doesn't have any other ppa
repositories installed.

It may be more user-friendly to warn that having other repositories may
cause problems.

Thank you for the report. Is ppa:v-launchpad-jochen-sprickerhof-de/pcl
commonly used among pcl users? Especially among ROS users?

If so we can add a warning explicitly about this ppa. Otherwise, users
having the similar/same issue hopefully reaches this ticket via Googling;
warning every specific ppas might be a bit overkill since users can
technically add whatever ppa they need.

I think it is mostly used by people who do vision, as can be seen here.
