[RTLW][SPECIAL] Voter Guide Meetup 10/17

[Research Triangle Less Wrong]

Dear Research-Triangle Rats and Rat-adjacents,

Next Saturday (October 17th) we will be holding our biannual Ballots Everywhere meetup at American Tobacco Campus in Durham to put together a voter guide for fellow North Carolinian ACX readers. This means we will not be having our usual Thursday evening meetup at Ponysaurus this week.

The plan is to meet around 2:00 pm at ATC in the outdoor common area outside of Bouricua Soul. The official plan is to end at 5:00, but we may hang out for a while afterwards. If the weather looks iffy we will move to the Fullsteam taproom nearby and send out an update via email and Discord. There are lots of restaurants and bars around, so you shouldn't feel worried about finding food and drink if needed.

ATC has Wi-Fi, so we'd encourage folks to bring your laptops so we can collaboratively research the candidates and ballot initiatives up for consideration this year (though if you'd rather just come and chat that's also okay). You do not need to have done any pre-research to join, though of course that is always welcome. For further reference, see our voter guide for 2024.

I look forward to seeing everyone next weekend!
