Garage Door Sensor

I'd like to rig up a contact sensor (or any type of sensor that will work) on my garage door.  I have 2 SDRs decoding 433Mhz and 915Mhz so I'd prefer to use one of those frequencies.  

I picked up a Skylink WT-433W but so far I've been unable to find a signal from it.  One reason being a have too many other 433Mhz devices which is making picking out the signal difficult.  Is there a way to have known signals be excluded from analysis?

Is there a list of confirmed working sensors, frequencies, configurations, etc for rtl_433?

I believe the -R <protocol #> option will look for signals from only that protocol(s) (you can use multiple -R options and the protocol numbers are listed when the program starts), but I don't think there is a way to exclude protocols by number.

So if you know which one or more protocols you wish to decode, you can have it ignore anything else.

Perhaps you could build a small Faraday box for you sdr antenna and door opener to be in.  Or reduce the range of the sdr antenna
