A number of the ThermoPro devices are currently supported by rtl_433 such as the TP-11. If I remember correctly, some other models with different numbers are decoded because they use the same message type. Get your model number and check rtl_433's readme.
Note: You would be more likely to get a helpful response if you included your specific model number instead of just calling it a "temp spike".
Generally the first step is to try receiving it with rtl_433 with all of the default protocol decoders enabled to see if you get any output. This is a bit more complicated if you are using the Home Assistant add-on rather than running rtl_433 directly.
If your device is decoded by rtl_433, you are more likely to get help configuring the add-on and Home Assistant in the Home Assistant Community Forum.

I'm just getting started with rtl_433, and was able to succesfully integrate a weather station with the rtl_433 Home Assistant add-on.
Next, I'm looking to integrate my ThermoPro Temp Spike meat thermometer. I have a grasp of the basics using a config file, but have no idea where to start with a new device that doesn't already have a decoder.
Does anyone have advice for where to start with a new device like this? I'm not entirely sure that the thermometer broadcasts on an eligible frequency, so any advice on sniffing raw data would also be helpful.
Thanks in advance!!
