Hi,

After experimenting a lot with rtl_433 and getting nice results for my home automation I am stuck with the following.

My Verisure system works on 868Mhz. rtl_433 does have a decoder. I want to add  the data to my home automation with json. All works fine with the 433 temperature sensors using the default 433 frequency.

With a second sdr I am listening to 868M (frequency 868M in the conf) but the verisure does not appear. According to the fcc data in my manual it is using 868.3 MHz (in Europe)

Maybe someone has an answer to the following questions:

- I did read the verisure .conf file, but could not find the frequencies to use. Will rtl_433 know the bandwidth / center from .conf files?

- Do I have to set the frequency to 868.3M instead of 868M to receive data for my verisure system?

- Is there any documentation /tutorial for writing you own decoders?

Thanks in advance,

Gerx

No, a decoder is not concerned with rf frequency.

The -f 868M has a default of 1M sample rate, thus covers 867.5M to 868.5M. Maybe try -f 868.1M
Never try to hit a senders frequency dead center. Always tune away by some ten kHz.

Just the examples and the usage output from -X, sorry.
