Hi all,

I'm interested in picking up the signal from the EverBlu Cyble water meter that's outside my house. It says it's at 433MHz, but I'm in quite a rural area, and using CubicSDR, the only clear signal I've found is at 433891285Hz.

I needed to use FM mode, and a bandwidth of 2MHz to pick up a clear chirp, which I've recorded here: http://www.bismuth83.co.uk/~lisa/squark.wav . This chirp is broadcast every 10 seconds or so, otherwise noise is received.

Sadly, I've not managed to find any clear description of the protocol, so my first step was to try the analyzer mode. I've tried numerous parameters, but I think I must be doing something wrong, since it flails around, seemingly unable to lock onto a consistent decoding for the signal.

Can anyone advise on how I can adjust my settings to get a clear decoding of the packet?

Thanks!

Lisa

Hi, does rtl_433 -a produce any gfiles? If so can you post a link to a
few of them? The file you recorded is already demodulated and while it
might be possible to figure out something from the sample it is much
better with raw I/Q data.
