magnet links

With sites starting to drop .torrent files, I think it should be a priority to include support for magnet links.

Is there a plan to include this in a next version?

Just 'copy' the magnet link and paste it in to the rtGui add torrent/URL field and watch what happens...

Then there is a problem with your rtGui configuration!

Can you upload a torrent file successfully using the option in rtGui?

I would advise you to check the torrent-watch directory exists and the permissions are OK.

If you want more help, you'll have to provide more info.

Also make sure you have DHT enabled:

dht = auto

dht_port = XXXX

and forward port XXXX through your router.

I think adding magnet links will just silently fail without DHT.  Simon - you can check whether DHT is enabled in the code by doing a RPC call to 'dht_statistics' and making sure the 'dht' key of the returned array is either 'auto' or 'on'.
