Are there any 'investigators' around??? Jokes apart, we really will have to help ISI with field researchers… any suggestions, comments!!! Some volunteers who want to go to the valley anyway, can be of help…

Dear Vijayan,

Greetings from Indian Social Institute!

I am writing these few lines to seek your help for our forthcoming survey of the villages along the Narmada river. We have tentatively selected 24 villages and their corresponding R&R sites from 6 tehsils, namely Alirajpur, Kukshi, Barwani, Manawar, Thikri and Dharampuri. I am sending you the list of villages & R&R sites..

We need about 12 investigators, two in each tehsil. Here is the tentative schedule of the survey:

11^th-12^th October: Training of investigators in Barwani.

13^th-28^th October: Survey by investigators of the villages allotted to them. (This includes 4 days holidays for Diwali or for any other purpose through mutual agreement)

We intend to pay them Rs. 3000 + TA/DA

TA/DA will be paid according to individual claims.

 

Dr. Sakarama Somayaji, Dr. Dilip Kumar Sebak, Dr. Archana Sinha & myself will be arrving in Barwani on the 10^th October for the purpose. I am in touch with Ashish in Badwani for his help.
