The Convention will bring together children, community representatives, grassroots organisations, activists, researchers, and child-rights practitioners from across India to collectively reflect on the challenges facing children’s food and nutrition rights and strengthen the movement for universal and equitable access to food and nutrition.
The Convention will focus on issues including child nutrition, ICDS and Anganwadi services, school meals, maternity entitlements, social protection, food security, exclusion and accountability, while creating space to share experiences and successful grassroots initiatives.
The Convention is being organised as a space for learning, dialogue, collective action and advocacy—with children’s voices and experiences at the centre.
We are expecting 300+ participants from different parts of the country. Preparations are underway, and we invite organisations, networks and individuals committed to children’s rights, food security and nutrition to join us and contribute to making the Convention a strong platform for collective action.
Let us come together to ensure that every child has the right to adequate food, nutrition, dignity and a healthy childhood.
