Some of you already know me as the developer of the companion software
packages liblouis and liblouisxml. The latter is an Open Source braille
transcription library which can handle xml, html and text files, and
aims to eventually be as good as, or better than Duxbury. liblouis is
the braille translator and back-translator library that liblouisxml
uses. It is already being used in the Orca and NVDA screen readers. Both
libraries were designed from the start to be especially good at handling
technical material.
