Cognitive and Perceptual discussion

Hi Everyone,

My name is Rena Liu and I am currently an occupational therapy student
from NYIT. I am taking a class titled Occupational Therapy for
Cognition and PerceptIon. I would like to join your listserv to learn
more about occupational therapy and it's effect on cognition and
perception for individuals in various social environment.

My discussion questions are the following:

What are the global social issues and welfare needs affecting
individuals with cognitive and perceptual deficits and how does this
affect their social conditions?

How would an occupational therapist improve the well being and quality
of life for individuals diagnosed with cognitive and perceptual
deficits living in various environments (eg, take into consideration
of cultural and economic influences)?

I would really appreciate if this will be discussed in this forum/
group.
