I think we should start building a list of VIP individuals with vision
impairment and others who would be interested in our working groups so
we can send them individual invitations to join us. I think we should
build the list before sending the invitations as we probably want to
split the list among us based upon who may have the best relationship
with each person we ask to join.
Except for ted Henter, I think we should reserve the very high profile
individuals for Gregg or Jim as they certainly have a lot more panache
than I do.
Remember, RTF and our BLV team will be working on some very important
tasks as we move into the future. This means that, to be successful,
we need to put principles ahead of personalities. Obviously, any
individual who joins the group and becomes highly destructive to our
communications will first be warned and, if their behavior doesn't
changed, kicked out by Jamal, Gregg or me. I know we've all had
clashes with different people around the community but, within the
boundaries of RTF, we need to do our best to remain positive. I am
not suggesting that we don't have lively debate on issues upon which
we may disagree but, said debate need be civil lest we destroy the
organization itself. We need to remember that, with the exception of
a very small group, no one is getting paid to work on RTF at this time
and rants and mastigrams will chase volunteers away more quickly than
almost anything else.
I'll be spending the early part of this week getting my summary/
outline done and should have it out to Jamal and GV on Wednesday or
Thursday.
Happy Hacking,
