Changing email providers

I am being forced to switch from Google Aps for Business to Microsoft Exchange Server through my work. My questions is once we change over, will my login on this still work since it is no longer google based? Does this make sense? I have tried to add people to my lists that do not have Gmail/Google accounts and they never work. I am quickly running out of time.
