RTA - Olivieri Contracting Roof Replacement

Hello All,

I just spoke with Marty from Olivieri regarding the roof replacement work, he said his proposal did not include removal of the existing roof, his plan was to install over the existing roofing because he believes that the existing roof is in a decent shape and he will cut out and replace any soft spot as necessary (no additional charge) when they install the roof. He mentioned that he will repair any damaged shingle when they are up there as well.

We discussed venting of the attic space and he said he will install 2-3 gooseneck or witches hats per building.

In terms of building permits, he doesn't think it is necessary unless someone complains. That would cost about $20-30k to the town.

All in all, he seems very knowledgeable and has done a lot of work in the area. I feel comfortable with them performing the work.

Despite all the material hike and uncertainty, he said he will honor the quote if we accept his quote within the next 30 days or so.
