Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) – Webinar to introduce to Working Group 'Comparative Studies of the Legal Profession' with Avrom Sherr (University of Warwick) and Hilary Sommerlad (University or Leeds)

The Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) will kick-off its new webinar series on 7 June 2024, 3-3.30 PM (CEST), to introduce to its many exciting working groups around human rights, politics, judicial systems, migration and gender, looking at how law impacts society.

We will start with our long-standing Working Group on 'Comparative Studies of the Legal Profession' where Avrom Sherr (University of Warwick) and Hilary Sommerlad (University of Leeds) will discuss the current challenges lawyers encounter and how paralegals have become key to their work.

Founded in 1962, the RCSL is the world's leading association to promote international comparative socio-legal research and teaching. The RCSL is, together with the Basque government, the founder of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL) in Oñati, Spain. Get in touch if you like to know more about the RCSL and our community here.

The RCSL webinar series is moderated by Stefanie Lemke and Pierre Guibentif, the RCSL’s Elected Secretary and President.

Registration is free and now open, here.

We look forward to seeing you on 7 June 2024!
