Hi,

Is there a tool that was used to create the asc fonts? I would like a font that is larger than asc16font. Are there any size limits for fonts that RTGUI can handle?

Also I see that RTGUI 0.6.2 includes freetype used by demo_view_ttf. I have not yet tried it, has anyone else made much use of this? Any advice on using TTF fonts and freetype? How does performance compare to the bitmap fonts? I would like to be able to load the font file from memory rather than a file system.

Rob

Seriously?? That's the extent of support available for RT-Thread/GUI??

Of course I've looked at the source. That doesn't answer the question about a font generating tool that might have been used. And it doesn't tell me about anyone's experience using TTF fonts with freetype.

I also see your name at the top of most those files and yet you can't answer any of the questions?

Hi Rob,
Yes, I write most of part of RT-Thread/GUI and RT-Thread Kernel.

In order to extent the font of RT-Thread GUI, you can:
* implement yourselves font engine; bitmap and freetype is a good example;
* This is a link for using English font file: http://www.rt-thread.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=13699. However, it's in Chinese.
* I have written a tool to generate font bitmap, but I can not find it. -_-

The TTF font implement in RT-Thread GUI has some issues, such as there is no Anti-Aliasing in RT-Thread GUI and can not handle other encoding character except English.

Regards,
Bernard
