Hi All,
Because there are many thing to deal with, and has no response from lgnq. I have to announce to postone the release of RT-Thread RTOS (2013, Q1 release, ak RT-Thread 1.2.0 Alpha). The RT-Thread RTOS 2013, Q1 version  will be released ten days later.

BTW, there are some significant changes in RT-Thread repo on github.com, for example, interrupt description, lwIP 1.4.1, module shell for finsh shell etc. We really appreciate your feedback.

Best Regards,
Bernard Xiong

What is the procedure of making a release? If there is a document, maybe somebody else could help when lgnq is not available.

Hi All,

Today is April Fool's Day. Our lives are all comfortable, relaxed and pleasant. So the RTGUI won't be put off for 10 days and will be released right now, right here. ;P

sorry for the late reply and the delay of releasing schedule
I'm very busy in the past few days
I will prepare the releasing RT-Thread 2013 Q1 version
but I'm still not familiar with github
Grissiom, I need your help:
how can I make the releasing package from github?

Just push a tag, and github will create a source bundle automatically.

I think release with Git is pretty straightforward. When you think everything is ready. You can have a commit with message like "RT-Thread 2013-Q1" and do `git tag 2013-Q1` on the HEAD. `git push --tags` will push your tag in local machine to the remote server. If you want to make your own tarball, you can simply do `git  git archive --format=zip --prefix=RT-Thread-2013-Q1/ 2013-Q1 > RT-Thread-2013-Q1.zip` and upload the zip file to Google Code etc.

However, not all of bsp or components will be included in 2013-Q1 release.

I think you have to prepare it manually. If you are busying, I may prepare this release temporarily.

Then you can release it in an other branch, say 2013-Q1, and remove the unwanted code. You can tag a branch as well(actually, lightweight tag is just a pointer to a commit).
