How to add a table of contents

Hi,

I can't seem to find any good instructions that explain how to add a table of contents. I see there's a ".. contents:" directive, but I don't know if that's it or how to use it if it is. Can anyone give some direction on how to accomplish this?

Yes, that is what you want. Just write exactly that by itself where you want it.
