Yoga guru and spiritual leader Swami Ramdevji laid the foundation stone of the Hindu Seva Ashram at Lingalaya Seva Ashram along NH 52A in between Naharlalagun and Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh today.
Addressing believers, he said all religions are equal, adding that in the context of indigenous religion, Donyi Polo, it is also worshipped directly or indirectly by the Hindus, irrespective of difference in nomenclatures.
On China’s claims over Arunachal Pradesh, he advised the state’s people to maintain unity and spiritual motivation against such claims.
“The multipurpose ashram complex will have a cultural hall, a badminton ground, a school for orphans, shelter for the old-aged and handicapped persons, and medical facilities,” All Arunachal Hindu Faith and Culture Development Organization chairman KP Dolo informed.
Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh president YD Thongchi, MLAs Karya Bagang (Chayang Tajo) and Tani Loffa (Seppa West) were among the dignitaries who attended the function.
