Lets get that AGX Orin installed on Alfie.

Of course redesigning and printing the new base for the AGX was the easy part.

The hard part is everything else, including updating all of the wiring harnesses and rethinking cable management in anticipation of the new arms, which we'll leave for V2 after the next contest.

Also power distribution will be done correctly this time, with 18 gauge silicone wiring and xt30 throughout.

Among other things the AGX has enough room for gr00t n1.7 AND qwen3.6 35b a3b, so there's the possibility of fully on board intelligence.

That's looking really good. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.

Thanks!  Me too!

Today's goals are to rewire main power and power distribution.  We should be able to bring up the Orin today.

Looks good. On the power side that AGX has different modes up to 60watt at 12v x 5a. How are you providing and regulating power to it isolated from motor circuit?
Not sure if I can ever fit mine in Big Orange. Probably be for the next robot.

Great question.

For now I've been getting away with powering everything from a single 12v 30a buckdown converter with an Orin rail and a Motor rail.

If that doesn't work out with the new build I think I have enough room for a dedicated smaller 12v buckdown just for the Orin, both fed from the same 36v power source.
