Please join us this Saturday December 13th at 10:00am for our next *in person* Meetup!

Plug 1331 Palo Verde Ave, Long Beach, CA into your GPS and google will take you right to the front door.  :-)

We'll also post a sign at our old-new meeting place for anyone who wanders over there.

9:45 am: Business meeting

10:00 am:​  2026 - the year of the personal humanoid?  (Finally?!?!?!) 🎉🎉🎉

Join our round-table discussion exploring the explosive growth of humanoid robotics.

We'll examine what's driving all the excitement around personal humanoids, dive into what capabilities actually work today, and discuss how this technology might realistically unfold—from genuine breakthroughs,  to the hype cycles, and the challenges that remain. Whether you're optimistic, skeptical, or curious, this is your chance to explore where robotics is really heading.  (Group)

11:00 am:​ Announcements / Show-n-Tell / Open Session. 

​It's a great opportunity to ask questions and get advice.  Our members will bring in their projects and share what we've been up to.  Are you working on something?  Bring it in!

11:30 am:🍕🍕🍕 Pizza Party! 🍕🍕🍕

Let's celebrate the end of the year together with pizza and sodas and the occasional eye contact.  We'll put in the order around the 10:30am mark, so let us know of any dietary requirements or restrictions -- we'll make sure you're covered.

Alright!  I'm excited to catch up with all of you tomorrow with our roundtable discussion on humanoid robots and our pizza party!

The newsfeed has been abuzz with both the good and the bad, we'll take a look at recent events and I'll do my best to explain how some of these things work behind the scenes.

And... If all goes according to plan I should be able to let you tele-operate alfie.  wanna see how hard it is to pick up a soda can without binocular vision?  :-)
