The Computational Statistics and Machine Learning [https://rss.org.uk/membership/rss-groups-and-committees/sections/statistical-computing/] (CSML) Section of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is seeking new committee members.

The section supports interest in all aspects of the use of computational science and technology in modern statistical analysis.

As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to contribute new ideas for CSML activities and to help organise events. The section typically holds three committee meetings per year which you can attend in person or online by teleconference.

If you are interested in joining the committee, please contactAntony Overstall <A.M.Ov...@soton.ac.uk>by Monday 4th November 2024
with a brief statement summarising your background, what you will
contribute to the committee and topics in CSML that you want to explore
through organising events. Please note that you must be a fellow of the
RSS to join the committee. We would value applications from all parts of the CSML community and welcome diverse participation in the committee.

The RSS is committed to ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who care about good data and statistics.

Adam Johansen, on behalf of the RSS CSML Section Committee
