Is anyone successfully using LDAP for authentication?

We've been using CTP for years in one facility within our health system, but I'm proposing a project to bring it to all of our sites.

One requirement is that we have user authentication for it...with over 50k employoees, obviously, LDAP is the only manageable choice.

However, i cant seem to get the LDAP Test Tool, and pursuantly, the CTP server itself, to communicate with the LDAP server to authenticate.

Has anyone implemented this, and what are the steps you recommend to get there?
