Installing CTP on Ubuntu 22.04 - ImageIO specifically

Greetings, 

I've made CTP work on Windows, but now I need it to work on an Ubuntu system (22.04.01).  I have no issue with the CTP program in itself, it's trying to install the ImageIO libraries that are the problem.

If I try the java -jar jai_imageio-1.2-pre-dr-b04.jar , it complains about a lacking manifest.  I'm NOT a java programmer, nor do I wish to become one.  I just want to get CTP working on ubuntu linux.

I've installed the Java JDK from Oracle, and I tried the OpenImageIO tools, but this did not work.
