IHE Management of Radiology Report Templates (MRRT) Profile Published for Public Comment

We are pleased to announce the release for public comment of the IHE Management of Radiology Report Templates (MRRT) profile.  Special thanks are due to everyone who participated in the IHE teleconferences and meetings that helped make this a reality.  We are delighted with the result, which specifies exchange of templates using a combination of HTML5 for the body of the template and CDA-compatible XML for the associated coded content.  An example template that illustrates these features is available on the IHE web site.

We intend to reformat the RSNA template library according to this specification once the profile is finalized this spring.  In January 2014, the IHE will hold a “connect-a-thon” for vendors to demonstrate their ability to exchange templates according to this profile.  In addition to any public comments that you submit through the formal IHE comment process (described below), we would welcome any additional feedback you may have for us about this profile or the RSNA Structured Reporting initiative in general.

IHE Radiology Technical Framework Supplements and a White Paper Published for Public Comment

The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has published the following supplements to the IHE Radiology Technical Framework for public comment in the period from March 15 through April 14, 2013:

  • Invoke Image Display (IID)
  • Management of Radiology Report Templates (MRRT)
  • Scheduled Workflow.b (SWF.b)
  • Stereotactic Mammography Image (SMI) 

The documents are available for download at http://www.ihe.net/Technical_Framework/public_comment.cfm. Comments submitted by April 14, 2013 will be considered by the IHE Radiology Technical Committee in developing the trial implementation version of the supplements. Comments can be submitted at http://www.ihe.net/radiology/radiologycomments.cfm.


 

The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has also published the following White Paper for public comment in the period from March 15 through April 14, 2013:

  • Code Mapping in IHE Radiology Profiles
