Dear Karin,

It was very nice for me to read your letter and to hear that you are well and also your daughter has success.

I am working at the same position in Roads Department of Georgia. We have very huge works:

Construction of E-60 Highway.

Rehabilitation and Periodic Maintenance.-10% of Road network

and etc.

I never have enough time for my family, but....

During October 27-29 I was in Armenia as a member of  Georgian Government Delegation.

Yerevan is very modern and beautiful city. I met with Igit, we ate delicious fish Ishan and drank perfect bear.

see attached photo.

Dear friends from RSM 2006, today is sunny day in Tbilisi and I wish everybody Good luck and Happy New Year.

Hello Group RSM2006,

Long time, no see….

When I read your recent messages (at least from some of you) I understand there is some rotation in your lives: Nugzar, Gurgen and Shalala in Manila….. For how long time will you be staying there? I looked at the pictures attached. Hmmmmm, looks very nice. You seem to have a splendid time over there.

Jamshid comments that he has to stay in Tashkent. Don’t give up, your time will come!

Over the past years we had RSM follow-ups in Morocco, Botswana and next March 2010 will be in Tanzania, in Arusha. And this concludes the RSM training programme. Our contract with Sida finishes then and there is no prolongation of the contract  in sight.

When it comes to myself, I visited my daughter in the Lake District, Cumbria twice this summer. She runs a pub and restaurant in a small village. And she is doing very well. I am proud of her. The pub was in a very bad shape when she took over and she has worked hard to get it in order. I understand from people in the village that the reopening of the pub has revived the village. And tourists from all over the world are visiting her.

As SweRoad has started a new project on Cyprus, we had our yearly staff conference there (11-15 Nov). We visited our project which is on the Northern part of Cyprus (the Turkish one) and we had also the possibility to see the Troodos mountain (1951 m above sea level). Up in the mountain it was pretty cold (9C!!!).

Now, we have winter ahead of us, although we enjoy exceptionally warm temperature (9C).

Keep in touch,
Warmest regards,
Karin
