| | | Dear Friends, The Tawakkol Karman Foundation is excited to share with you its achievements and ongoing initiatives with you. In this newsletter, you'll discover our efforts in Yemen and beyond, focusing on education, healthcare, women’s and youth empowerment, economic development, and the advancement of democracy and peace. We invite you to explore our programs below: TKIF has built or rehabilitated 35 schools across 13 Yemeni governorates, including 10 exclusively for girls, 25 for both girls and boys, and two for the deaf. Recently, TKIF completed the Belqees Educational Complex in Taiz, which includes a girls' school with 30 classrooms, labs, and the governorate’s first school for deaf students. This complex provides modern educational facilities for girls and students with hearing impairments. Through the Leaders for Future program, TKIF has provided 10,000 English scholarships (45% for women), with 2,700 graduates and 1,038 TOEFL/IELTS certifications. | | Health Access and Life-Saving Program The Tawakkol Karman Foundation (TKIF) has established and rehabilitated 15 health centers across several Yemeni governorates and provided hospitals in Taiz and Marib with 8 ICU-equipped ambulances. TKIF combats kidney failure in Yemen, funding 30 transplants this year with plans to expand treatment. The Foundation also supports the "Tabibi" app, where 580 volunteer doctors offer free consultations, benefiting over 50,000 people. | | | | Through the Art for Peace project, Tawakkol Karman Foundation trained 48 young artists, enhancing their creative skills. TKIF also trained 70 young influencers from 9 Arab countries, focusing on social media content creation to promote coexistence and combat hate speech. The Foundation has honored many Yemeni Icon artists, provided scholarships for young talent, and supported Yemeni youth in sports, particularly football, empowering young talent across multiple disciplines. | | | The Tawakkol Karman Foundation provided humanitarian relief to those affected by conflict and disaster. In Yemen, it conducted 19 relief campaigns, distributing food, health supplies, and other essential aid. The Foundation also created children’s gardens, established literacy schools there, and supported small businesses in some refugee camps. In response to the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, the TKIF Foundation sent relief campaigns to Syrian camps and built 50 housing units in Turkey.
