Hi,

Im currently extracting toadlet locations to create a SDM using the rsgislib package

I get an issue when extracting coordinates out of a csv/shp using the read_sightings fucntion that the  latitude/northings are invalid. I have them set up as decimal degrees - is there a format I need them in for them to work? e.g. degrees minutes seconds - or maybe the csv needs to be in a geoframe or something?

Appreciate anyones help :)

Michael

Im also curious to know the process in creating training and test datasets, and if it is not too great of a splitter, can I use scikit learn to sub in the validator component of the apply_decision_tree_estimator?

Thanks, Michael

Ive since converted these tto degrees decimal minutes, as well as degrees decimal seconds and it says theres an invalid chartacter in the line (the E and S it looks like), and that the coordinates need to be 2 dimensional (which they are). Im fairly confused as an invalid character assumes I need to use decimal degrees, but this is invalid as previously described. Keen to hear someones thoughts on this.

Context: I'm persevering through Python for the sake of an assignment, but its clear R is much better for these things lol!
