Dear All,

I am new here and I just started with ARCSI.

I am trying tu run the following command line:

arcsi.py -s sen2 -p RAD  --stats -f KEA -o .\Fbcc\Desktop\arcsi\Outputs -i .\Desktop\arcsi\S2A_MSIL1C_20170224T162331_N0204_R040_T15PZS_20170224T163738\S2A_MSIL1C_20170224T162331_N0204_R040_T15PZS_20170224T163738.SAFE\MTD_MSIL1C.xml

And I get the following  error message:

Start Time: 15:06:16, Wed Sep 09 2017.
Reading header file
Found Sentinel-2 image file product 'S2MSI1C'

Input imagery as listed in header file is present.

Error: Coordinate System Transformation failed (Min).
ARCSI took in less than a second to process the input image. Thank you for using ARCSI.

What could I do to solve this?

Best regards

Hi Fabiano,

Most likely the GDAL_DATA environment variable needs to be defined so GDAL can find the files it needs to convert coordinate systems.

I you have installed arcsi/gdal just into the base miniconda location then the path will be miniconda3/share/gdal/ if you have created an environment then it’ll be miniconda3/envs/<environment name>/share/gdal/

Best wishes,

Pete

Dear Fabiano,

It looks like the KEA file format isn't properly setup within your installation.

Can you run:

gdalinfo --formats (it might be gdalinfo.exe on windows) and check whether the KEA format is there?

Secondly, can you check which gdal version you have install from conda? Do you just have the one gdal installation on your system (I.e., from conda-forge)?

Best wishes

Pete

Dear Pete,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

You are right KEA format is not among the ones listed with gdalinfo --formats.

My gdal version is: GDAL 2.1.4, released 2017/06/23

Which one should I use instead?

Best ragards

Dear Fabiano,

I am using gdal 2.2.1 but in terms of your setup, I assume you have installed GDAL through conda?

Can you look at your package list and check the version but also check that it is from the conda-forge channel. If you are using the version of gdal from conda-forge then is should have KEA support build-in.

Is conda the only GDAL installation you have on your system?

Best wishes,

Pete

Hi Fabiano,

Assuming you installed using conda, did you install ARCSI into a separate environment?

Most of the environmental variables needed by GDAL are set when you run the activate script, which isn’t called if you run in the root environment.

Thanks,

Dan

 Dear All,

I tried again many times and it seems I cannot find the solution of my problem (after making sure that arcsi, gdal and the other dependecies are under the same conda-forge enviroment).

Do you have and suggestion for that?

Best regards

Fabiano

Dear Fabiano,

We’re shortly going to release a new version of ARCSI so hopefully that will fix the issue but the new version debug option so hopefully we’ll be able to get some more info on the error if it still doesn’t work.

This is the first version we’ve released for windows so it sounds like we’ve still got some issues to work out. In the mean time if you use linux or MacOS then it is all working as far as I am aware.

Best wishes,

Pete

Hi everyone,
I do have the same problem for sentinel2. --> Error: Object given is not a Python function
My installation is on windows and I use ARCSI version 3.2.4.
I have dig into code and I think I have found where the problems comes from.
Basially this is a GDAL error.
Within miniconda3\envs\arcsienv\Lib\site-packages\rsgislib\imageutils\__init__.py file and specifically on line 507 there is a gdal call.
This is
gdal.Warp(outFile, inFile, options=wrpOpts)
Now, gettting into wrpOpts I found that  a callback function is passed among other info. But for some reason the callback is not called properly and this is causing the error.
It is not the same but the problem is equal to the one we face here.
However, removing the callback form  the gdal call solves the problem and arcsi contiue to work withoun problems.
So in line 507 of the file mentioned I do change the mentioned line to this:
gdal.Warp(outFile, inFile)
For my self it seems to work as expected but I would be more than grateful if someone could verify that this change will not create any kind of faulty data.
I ll keep experimenting with that so if I come up with something interesting I ll let you know.

Thanks
Pavlos
