Batch processing new Collection Tier 1

Hello,

I have previously used the batch processing scripts (awesome btw!), including arcsisortlandsat.py, for pre-collection landsat 8 scenes.

But it appears that arcsisortlandsat.py can not currently handle the file format of the new landsat 8 Collection 1 Tier 1 format from USGS.

arcsisortlandsat.py -i . -o .

Sensor was not recognised for file: .../LC08_L1TP_043025_20151024_20170225_01_T1.tar.gz

Is there any plan to support the new collection 1 format?

Hi Nic,

It looks like this is because they have changed from starting with ‘LC8’ to ‘LC08’ and the script is looking for ‘LC08’, see https://bitbucket.org/petebunting/arcsi/src/56de2e5defa5f0636bd89c3415c63f3c38f699d9/bin/arcsisortlandsat.py?at=default&fileviewer=file-view-default#arcsisortlandsat.py-248

Easiest solution for now would be to rename to LC8. On Linux you can do this with the rename comment:

rename -v LC08 LC8 *.tar.gz

If the metafile is a different format as well probably best to open an issue (https://bitbucket.org/petebunting/arcsi/issues/) about it with more details about the changes.
