Dear Pete,

I installed ARCSI (and all dependencies) and I tried to perform atmospheric correction for LANDSAT8 scenes.

Is there any paper that details the way in wich the correction is performed?
I red this topic

Does ARCSI deal with Look Up Table?

I saw the code (arcsi.py, step 10 - Convert to surface reflectance using 6S standard models, arcsisensorlandsat8.py), If I understood well,
the code assume a costant mean value of AOT in the scene and retrieve, for each band, the xa, xb and xc coefficient to be used in the correction.

Is it correct?

Is there any documentation of the other functions (DOSAOT, DOSAOTSGL, DOS, TOPOFSHADOW)?

How the spatial variation of the target elevation is managed?

Thank you in advance

Maria Lucia

Hi,

There is some documentation on different options, including inverting for AOT using dark object subtraction and using a DEM available from:

Pete also had a poster on ARCSI at ESA's Living Planet Symposium. Pete, is this available online?

Thanks,

Dan
