Hey everybody, i had done two weeks of my summer training in 2006 at
Helix infosystems in nungmbakkam, chennai. Firstly, let me say that it
was not great. A friend of mine had recommended it to me so i thought
i could give it a try. Helix offered many internship courses, based on
different subjects (from the basics of bioinformatics to drug-
designing and more) and at a wide range of prices (Rs. 2,500 upwards).
I first found all these details on their official website. Since i
didnt want to spend too much on summer training, i took a course on
"protein secondary structure prediction". Like i said the training
wasn't great. Everyday one of their staff would come and explain the
concept of a topic, show a few examples on the comp, and i would be
left doing something on my own for the rest of the few hours. The
course could have been made more practical and interactive. i wouldn't
recomend this place, but if you are looking for nothing more than just
for a certificate, then you are most welcome to join here.Their
