WELCOME TO THE NORDIC BALTIC EXPATS FORUM The Bioscience Brain-Bank for:
- Regional Expatriates, i.e. citizens of a Top of Europe country engaged in bioscience research, business or research policy, as students, staff members or professionals working or studying – or recently having worked or studied - abroad, either at another Top of Europe country or elsewhere.
- Foreign Expatriates residing on Top of Europe engaged in bioscience research, business or research policy.
- Returned Foreign Expatriates, i.e. citizens of countries outside Top of Europe engaged in bioscience research, business or research policy who have worked or studied on Top of Europe and then returned to their country of origin.
The Nordic Baltic Expats Forum (NBEF) is the community of researchers, students and professionals who have roots or experiences in the Nordic-Baltic Region (the Top of Europe, i.e. Denmark, Estonia, Finland, North Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, North Western Russia, and Sweden). NBEF is funded by Top of Europe universities, companies, institutions and public authorities.

- Engaging Expatriates in leveraging opportunities for regional institutions, universities, and companies abroad.
- Helping Expatriates to share experiences, better practices and to give professional and social support before, during, or after their stay abroad.

How to Join NBEF To benefit from the community, you must join it. Your professional profile will be stored at LinkedIn and you will be a member of the NBEF group. Membership allows you to search within the NBEF group for colleagues and potential collaborators using keywords and/or specifying location. You will also receive a monthly newsletter with news, events, industry and academic positions and calls for grant applications.

The Nordic-Baltic Expats Forum launched into action on October 2nd, 2008, at the Alexandersalen, University of Copenhagen, to an attentive audience consisting of biotech business people, investors, and regional development agencies, university deans, professors, and students, who together with government civil servants, ambassadors, and embassy trade reps all came to hear the fundamental messages: Attracting Talents in a Global Workforce and how the NBEF helps our Top of Europe region meet this challenge.
