This is a goodbye to all and a request for group moderators.

Some of you may be aware that I'm leaving the RSC next week to take up
a new role of Associate Head of Technology Enhanced Learning at Aston
university. So I'm not going to far away - just down the road in
central Brum :OD ... And will be heavily involved with their
eportfolio endeavours. Being part of this community has been very
beneficial to me by passing on effective practice, and hopefully to
all of you.

May I take this opportunity to thank you all for participating in this
virtual group, and we hope that it's provided a useful platform for
RSC support and lively discussion between you all. Many thanks for
those pearls of wisdom shared, which is what this is all about.

This leads us (myself & Ben Williams) to the next chapter of this
group. The initial intention was to create and support a community
which would ultimately be self sustaining. That time is now. We are
looking to recruit 3 moderators from differing sectors (e.g. FE, HE,
WBL) to take charge and drive this community forward into a it's next
phase. We are giving you until the end of this month (April 2010) to
volunteer. Moderators have the power to approve postings by members.
It's not onerous. Ben Williams will make the decision to appoint, or
if we get no takers, the group with have to fold.

So it's all up to you now. Bye all, and I hope to bump into you again.

Hi, Kevin,

You've done a good job with the groups and deserve your promotion!

However, I was a bit disappointed to see that you had left my blog off of
your list. Admittedly I do not only speak for FE and WBL but also for
Lifelong and Lifewide e-Portfolios with a particular interest in 'multiple
transitions'. My 'mission' is to try and help people understand the
potential for e-Portfolios '5-95' or as Helen Barrett says, 'From sperm to
worm'.

Best Wishes,

I'll be a group co-ordinator if you like, buddy.

I am not saying goodbye to you, our Kevin, cos I know you are going to be around and online.  I will wish you the best of luck with your next a future contributions to our world, though.

Derrin.

I’ve just returned from holiday so missed the opportunity to thank Kevin for all his hard work and valuable input to the group.

I’m not an expert on ePortfolios and I don’t know what is involved in being a group moderator but if no one else offers I could be one but may need a bit of hand holding initially!

Best Regards
