The camera is controled by selections in the View Controls. You can access the control via several paths. In the top menu select: Me -> Camera Controls. In the little panel that opens select the Eye like icon and select a view.
I have same issue in my firestorm viewer but I am looking up at my avatar from below the knees . Changing the camera angle in the preferences doesn't do anything except bring you closer into the avatar. Changing the angle of the view using the camera controls only works until you move and then the view goes right back to the way it was before. I can not use the mouse wheel because I am working from a Surface which has no mouse. The debug menu also does not work to correct the issue. REALLY would appreciate some helpful advice.
These sound like OpenCollar camera views. Do either of you wear that or some other item that can override the camera position? If you're in doubt, remove all attachments from your avatar and see if that helps.
The Fusion camera is used for match-move, where you have motion capture CG characters and have to match there moves to composite them into an established shot. There are micro-motors on the Fusion rig to adjust the separation and convergence angle of the stereo Sony F950 cameras. The standard three lens functions of zoom, focus and iris, plus interocular distance and convergence are all under software machine control. Beam splitters provide the capability of having an interocular of half an inch even though the cameras are four inches wide. The cameras are mounted in the Fusion rig at a 90-degree angle.
The Virtual Camera allowed James Cameron to direct scenes within his computer-generated world. Through this virtual camera, the director would not see actress Zo Saldana, but her 10-foot tall blue-skinned CG character Neytiri in a CG environment. The in-camera CG imagery had the resolution of a video game, so after Cameron completed filming and editing a sequence, the WETA visual effects company would work on it for months to create the final, high resolution photo-realistic images.
Six months out from principal photography the end of 2007, Derry started an intense R&D effort on many fronts with four different companies. It would be a race to complete the technology before shooting began in New Zealand.
A few days ago I tried out the new Avatar BETA feature. It worked well and I created an avatar for my informal meeting. But when I tried to disable the avatar, the camera showed as if it was disabled, even though it is on and the camera light shows it's capturing. I have reset my Windows camera, restarted, updated camera software and Zoom software - but nothing has worked. Even now when I go into Windows camera settings it shows as enabled, but I get no image. Even the other VC apps doe the same now. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help, I am a teacher and need to be on camera. Thank you.
Okay I found the solution on another post. I had to press the F-key (in my case it's F10) which then enabled the camera again. Gosh how embarrassing! lol. Sorry - and thank you to "Frank_TB" who posted the solution for someone else. (PS. I didn't know how to delete my post above, hence the follow up here to say that I am sorted.)

Highlight the Shader and add a Parent Constraint. Check the boxes Is Active and Lock. Locate the Head armature of your avatar and drag it into the Sources. After you drag the head in the sources, Uncheck and check the Lock box to program the position Axis.
(Optional) Drag the QuadAssetLargeBounds in the Materials Folder.
Right-click and create a Render Texture and call it Camera Texture. Right-click again to create a material and call it Preview Material.
For a quick test, in the Culling Mask turn the Default and move your camera until you find a good a spot. Make sure you give a good space for your avatar to move its arms up and down. Just in case to prevent clipping.
Problem: After summoning a god avatar, in this case Mitra, the camera was locked in one direction when resuming the game as a human. The movement controls still worked as if the camera was still working correctly.
I have created a 2nd camera in my scene so that I could stream the view out to a server but my avatar is rendered without a head. Is there any way to force the Oculus Avatar2 to also create the head? I've been searching for options in the Oculus code but haven't found anything obvious.
Hello, I was also wondering about the same and tried the same thing. While it solves the issue with the mirror it now creates a new issue where I see part of my own head (e.g. my eyes) since the camera is now in the middle of the head. Did you (or anyone) find a way around this?
I am having this issue, but I am setting the flag. When ThirdPerson is selected the entire avatar vanishes. If I cycle through FirstPerson, ThirdPerson, All, FirstPerson is the only one that shows up. I have legs, but no head. Did you guys have to setup the facial and eye tracking? Or did this just work out of the box with body tracking setup? Thanks for any help.
*Note: When comparing your processor with the requirements, the generation of your processor can be determined by the first digit (or two) of the processor number, while the remaining 3 digits are the model number. For example, an Intel i7-6700 is the 700 model of the 6th generation of i7 processors.

Ok, I get what you're saying. The only way I have found to do this is to save the scenario. ie; using the default a36. I enter avatar mode, with the avatar standing just behind the plane, and setup the 1st person view, and save the scenario. The A36 will be saved as well. On restart, select that scenario again, and it will open up with the avatar sitting beside the A36 in the 1st person view point. Unfortunately, the views that I had set in the A36 have changed back to default. This something that maybe should be mentioned to LM.
ps, if you save this as the default flight, the 1st person view with the avatar sticks. I just tested this by starting P3D and selecting the F35 in the scenario menu. The sim loaded with the avatar standing beside the F35. 1st person view was still set. As long as you do not mind starting your sim session in avatar mode standing outside your 737, you should be good to go.
If you are adventurous, each avatar view is assigned a guid identifier. The 3rd person (above/behind) view is the default. If you swap the guid for the 1st person view with the 3rd person view, it may result in the 1st person becoming the new default view for the avatar. This is without having to save any scenarios.
edit; i tried swapping the guid's between the default view and the 1st person no model, with no luck. The 3rd person view remains as default avatar view. I'm going to stick with saving the scenario, and ctrl+shift+e into the cockpit after I've completed the walk-around.
Reason I ask is I first didn't see the new camera view and also I got the default avatar rather than the new one I picked. I thought I changed what avatar should be used by putting in the title for the new avatar under the avatar section in Prepar3D.cfg but guess it's saved elsewhere and maybe is somehow connected to the selected aircraft.
