Hello everyone,

Does anyone know wich protocol is used by the RS3 Peerway network? Is
it Propietary? RS-485?.

I need to expand the RS3 network but a serial tunelling trough TCP/IP
could be an option if RS485 is supported,

Thanks in advance,

Alfredo Ricárdez

Alfredo:

It's definitely a proprietary protocol.

By expanding, our you talking about adding additional nodes on one
PeerWay? A PeerWay by difiniton is only 32 nodes. Multiiple PeerWays
can be joined together to allow as many as 992 nodes.

Or by expanding, do you mean making one PeerWay longer in length?
There are fiber optic expanders which extend the physical length.

I ment longer in length without installing twinax cable.

Thanks for your quick response,

Alfredo
