Hi,

We have a requirement at Roche Irl. Ltd for RS3 Hardware spares for
repair or purchase. Anyone know of a company that could help us out?

We have an immediate requirement for the following:
Part No.: Description
1984-1547-0001 NVM card (As used in HIA/SCIs)
01984-2347-0021 NVM card (as used in Control Files)

We also have a requirement for RS3 hard disks although we may do a
trial with the Flash media drives as advertised on a separate thread
in this forum.

Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

Jimmy,

If you search for Seagate Hard Disk Model ST34520N on the WWW, you can
find these available for sale at approx. $US 120. I have a US
provider if you need it.

You'll need to use your RS3 console to "initalize", but it worked for
me.

There are several re-sellers of RS3 hardware in the US if you want "as
is", otherwise your Emerson Rep can provide these as re-built or new
units....

Thanks Tom,
That's a great help. I was under the impression that Emerson were not supporting RS3 products anymore and therefore did not even try them.
I will also follow up on your other leads especially wrt to the hard disks.
Take care and thanks for taking the time out to respond,
Kind Regards,
Jimmy

Jimmy,

I have a pre-formatted RS3 hard disk available, which has never been
used, and can be supplied with warranty for peace of mind. These are
the same disks as shipped from Emerson. I have supplied these disks to
other RS3 users, Diversey UK and Janssen Cork with no problems.

I am based in Cork so can ship straight away to Ennis

Regards
Robert

Hi Rob,
Can you quote please for this hard disk.
Also, let me know if you can get more formatted disks.
I bought a few off the web but none of them are working for me,
Thanks,
Jimmy

Hi Tom,
I sourced some hard disks on the web but cannot get any to work.
1. In all cases, I peerway booted the console from the boot program on a working console.
2. In the "Disk Event List", it shows that the console appears on the p/w 1, yet the console does not appear on the DDP.
3. The boot up sequence stalls on the "Loading Configuration Files" and does not proceed any further so I don't even get to "initialize" the disk because it never appears on the DDP screen.
Any Ideas?
Jimmy
