Hello everyone! This week my RS-HFIQ arrived from America. After a detailed study of how to connect the SDR-TRX, i went on the bands. The reception is well. Unfortunately, there is a problem when sending. There is only a maximum of 2.5 watts outputs on all bands. Now my question: What can be the reason, where should I look? Many thanks for your help!

Hi Peter,

Low output power comes from two possible conditions:

1. If the red LED (clipping) is on, then most likely the power supply is lower than 13.8V
2. If the red LED  is off, there's not enough audio from your sound device driving the IQ in.

If it's the second case and it's not a level setting issue, you can put solder across the pads of SJ1 and SJ2 (on the bottom of the PCB near the IQ jacks). This adds about 6 dB gain.

Hello Jim! Many thanks for your response. The powersupplie was strong enough and the sound card is also fine. So I followed your tip with SJ1 and SJ2 and this was the solution to my problem. Many thanks for the quick response. Now the RS-HFIQ works togehter with the Hardrock fine. Unfortunately I forgot to order the circuit board for connecting the Hardrock PA to the SDR-TRX.
Is it possible to send it to me? That would be very nice.
