Hi
I have an IQ32.  What is the easiest/best way to connect it to my PC to use WSJT-X or HRD?
Do I need a SignaLink/audio interface or can it be direct USB to USB?  The IQ32 does have a USB port on it.

Hi Glen,

If you want to use a digital mode other than the ones built into the IQ32 you'll need to treat it like a standard HF radio. You'll need an audio interface, like the SignalLink. Right now there is no CAT control available but now that the FW team has finished up the CW keyer, I think that's next on the list.

Hi Jim,

any updates on the topic?

Ive posted similar question on the ham radio exchange:

------------------

Has anyone DIY datamodes cable for HobbyPCB IQ32 SDR ?

Im thinking of using SPKR/MIC/PTT port and expose it either towards external USB soundcard (or USB soundcard stick), or directly to laptop USB.

Port is Baofeng UV-R3 TRRS wired (Sleeve-GND, 2nd ring - PTT, 1st ring - MIC, Tip - SPKR).
