Spayit Forward is an exclusive program established by Happy Jack Cats, Inc., an Idaho nonprofit, aimed at assisting families to afford and arrange spay or neuter surgeries for their beloved pets. This initiative significantly contributes to reducing the numbers of community cats.

Pets may experience stress and anxiety from unfamiliar situations and locations. Cats are especially stressed by change.[1] Instead of travelling with their owner on vacation, pets can be boarded at kennels or kept at home with a friend or pet sitter.[1] However, that also includes unfamiliar situations and locations. This is not an option when moving permanently.

Pets may travel in the aircraft cabin, checked baggage or cargo. However, airlines set their own policies regarding the travel of pets.[2][3][4][5] Some big airlines stopped pet cargo and only allow in-cabin travel. Most airlines also charge for Emotional Support Animals. Pet Airways specialized in transporting pets, but failed as a business. In recent years private-jet pet travel gained some momentum especially due to the discounted flight sales.[6] In such travels pets are allowed in cabin with their owners which reduces stress and trauma. However, unlike flying commercial airline where ticket fee are paid one-off up-front, pet owners need to take precautions of extra cost involved in private jet flight with pets onboard, such as cleaning fee and de-icing fee of private jet. These cost may only be known post flights.[7]

The Humane Society of the United States recommends avoiding air travel if possible.[8] Extreme temperatures and thin air have extra risk for brachycephalic animals such as bulldogs, Pekingese dogs, pugs and Persian cats.[8][9] The United States Department of Transportation Air Travel Reports recorded 302 deaths, injuries and disappearances over 6 years with 35 deaths in 2011.[10][11] At least two dogs died on United Airlines flights in 2012.[10][12]

If pets escape, they can face danger, even if they escape on the ground. A cat named Jack escaped from his carrier in American Airlines baggage handling at John F. Kennedy Airport, went missing for 61 days, and was eventually euthanized.[13][14][15] Another cat escaped and was run over by a vehicle on the tarmac at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India when traveling with Jet Airways.[16][17]

In 2018, United Airlines admitted to forcing a passenger pet to be stowed away in an overhead bin, resulting in the animal's death.[18] Only two days later, another dog aboard a United flight was mistakenly sent to Japan instead of its intended Kansas City destination.[19]A similar incident occurred in March 2018 when Delta Air Lines sent a puppy to Salt Lake City instead of its intended Boise destination.[20]

Pets riding in cars are safest contained in carriers tied with a seat belt.[21] They are advised to be in the back seat or have the airbags turned off.[21] Dog harnesses can restrain but the Center for Pet Safety found "a 100 percent failure rate to protect either the consumer or the dog".[21][22] Unrestrained pets can interfere with driving and can be seriously injured in an accident,[21] but no states require pets to be secured in cars.

Smaller domestic animals can be ambulated locally in a pet stroller pushed or pulled by a human; this may be especially useful for ill, lame, and elderly creatures.[23] A pet stroller is similar in design to a baby stroller. The stroller may be enclosed with netting to prevent escape while allowing the pet to view, hear, and smell the ambient environment. Unlike a human infant, the animal is not immobilized in the stroller, but is free to move about within it.

According to the General Administration of Customs of China, since 2019, each passport holder is allowed to import into mainland China, 1 pet cat or 1 pet dog per passport holder without any requirements to applying for permits.[24][25][26] Provided that the pet cat or pet dog has a ISO 11784/11785 microchip implant and has a rabies vaccination certificate and negative rabies titer test result from list of approved laboratories,[26][27] and a veterinary certificate (attained within 14 days before arrival), all obtained no less than 30 days prior to arrival into mainland China, such pets may avoid 30 days' quarantine.[26]

Pets without microchip or such documents missing may have to enter mainland China through designated ports only and go through a mandatory 30-day quarantine.[26][28][29][30] List of designated ports:[26]

All pets entering the Hong Kong SAR must enter as manifested cargo only (except for land border crossing) and must be AVID or ISO 11784/11785 microchip implanted and carry a veterinary certificate (attained with 14 days of import).[31] Pets may exit the Hong Kong SAR in the cabin with the owner or as checked baggage.[32] Proof of rabies vaccination is generally not required by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for importation of pet cats and dogs into the Hong Kong SAR.[31]

A correctly prepared cat, dog, or ferret may be imported without quarantine into the United Kingdom from the following countries under the pet passport scheme, but only on an authorised transport company (which includes the Channel Tunnel & most ferry services for arrivals by car):[34][35]

I am running new cat 6 cable from my router to my office so I can get my computer hardwired instead of using WiFi. When looking at what I need to get to connect the cable to a wall plate, I'm seeing 2 main options:

The first option requires a punchdown tool to punch your conductors into place and is more typical because we run cable from a spool and cut it to length. If you're already using a premade cable with male ends then perhaps the F-F option is easier for you.

If you can get away with it, this is probably the better approach since correctly wiring a cat6 jack (to actually pass the test as a cat6 connection with an instrument) can be a bit hard for a novice.

Cables that protrude from apertures in wall openings are going to get damaged. The cables will get crimped, kinked and abraded. Once the cables get kinked near the wall opening, you end up having to rerun the entire length of cable.

Direct attaching the RJ-45 crimp to the horizontal cabling runs isn't good practice. The only place you see this in industry is inside IP CCTV camera enclosures where there is no room for a jack and a patch cable, but there is also no movement of the cable inside the housing and the cable isn't subjected to motion or wear and tear.

I am currently doing a cabling job for a small business and I am tasked with installing a new RJ45 wall jack. The office previously had cat5e cables wired through the walls, but my boss has provided me with cat6 keystone jacks. Is the cat5e cable compatible with a cat6 keystone jack? If so, is there somewhere I can find a diagram to properly wire the cables according to the colors on the wire? Any help is appreciated! Thanks everyone.

The color code is the same for both 5e and 6. It should work as long as everything makes contact properly. However that will depend on the gauge of the wire. Gauge can vary between different manufacturers. Try one or two and see how it goes.

With a little of my research, you can try one of the cat 6 Jacks on the cat 5e cable as a trial sometimes it works, the problem may be trying to crimp a cat 6 RJ45 to a cat6 ethernet cable. for fixing the cables to wall jack try this videos they help me out at one time. =TWxKfHhqN2Y and =sHy8mtW9eak .

The only problem I see with using a CAT6 keystone jack with CAT5e in-wall premises wiring is that the marking on the face of the jack says CAT6. This could lead to confusion whereby another user or network tech could be led to believe that the drop is CAT6 when it is not. Relabeling the face of the jack to indicate CAT5e could be beneficial.

EDIT: other users point out, there are different wire gauges. Make sure that the jacks (or plugs) being used are listed as suitable for the gauge of the wire. Using a wire gauge that the jack is not listed for can result in unreliable connections. For example, the Leviton 61110-xx6 eXtreme CAT6 keystone jack is rated to accept 26-22 AWG solid conductors.
