Hello,
When I used : sudo apt-get install r-cran-rgl ; MRO has been uninstall in profit of R 3.2.2.
I had to reinstall MRO.

Hello,
I don't think it should uninstall Microsoft R Open. However, it probably replaced the sym link in /usr/bin with one pointing to the package you installed second.

I have the same issue and it was solved by:
cd /usr/bin
sudo rm /usr/bin/R
sudo ln -s '/usr/lib64/MRO-3.2.4/R-3.2.4/lib/R/bin/R' R
