Microsoft R Open 3.2.3, the enhanced open source R distribution from Microsoft, is now available for download. Revolution R Open is now known as Microsoft R Open (MRO).
This update brings multi-threaded performance to the latest update to the R engine from the R Core Group, which includes several improvements and bug fixes. Significant amongst these is default support for HTTPS connections, making it easy to follow the best practices for R security recommended by the R Consortium. The checkpoint package included with Microsoft R Open likewise uses HTTPS when downloading R package versions for reproducible data analysis.
MRO 3.2.3 is available for download now for Windows, Mac and Linux systems, and is 100% compatible with R 3.2.3.
