Dear RRND email subscriber,

We've always promised our readers "no more than one message per day,"
so any major changes that require extra communication have to take
place over the weekend. This is such a situation; I request your
attention and indulgence.

As many of you have noticed (and some of you have complained about),
Google Groups has developed a nasty habit of truncating our email
editions.

I've asked for support from Google -- no response.

I've posted to the Google Groups "troubleshooting list" -- no light on
the subject.

Tomorrow, I'll be porting the RRND subscriber list over to a
commercial list service, Trafficwave. They offer a 30-day "free trial"
period, and a generous donor has offered to cover our future costs if
the service works for us (if it doesn't, we'll try something else, or
if necessary move back to Google).

If this works the way it should, you'll continue receiving RRND as
usual, just from a different return address. There's a chance we mail
be able to provide enhanced HTML editions for those who want them.

If it works out not QUITE the way it should, you may receive a
"confirmation request" or some other opt-in verification message. I
apologize in advance for the possibility that that may happen. We take
the "no more than one message a day" thing seriously and are trying to
do this without violating it.

If it works out badly -- if there's some kind of consplosion -- you
may not get RRND at all, in which case, when you notice that you're
not seeing it in your mailbox each morning, please email me at
publisher at rationalreview dot com so that I can find out what the
problem is and try to get it fixed.
