Hi Jatin,

that message means that maya has managed to find redshift4maya.mll, but is missing some of the .dll files that are needed by the redshift plugin.

Usually, we suggest to use a farm wide install of the renderer plugins, please look for the redshift instructions in our renderers help page

  • Install Redshift on your workstation.
  • Submit a render and check the render log file in rrControl.
Search for the line "RedShift source path is set to". (See MtoA above for a screenshot)
    Create this folder.
  • Copy the files and subfolders of c:\ProgramData\Redshift\     into that folder
Using a different approach would require custom settings, but it can be done using "inhouse" setting files: the system environment used during farm renders differs from the one available to the workstation user.

If the farm-wide install is not working for some reason, please send your full debug info so that we can look at your settings as well

  • Please select the job in rrControl.
  • Then execute "Export debug info - selected job(s)" via the menu "Debug".
  • Please attach the zipped information to this support ticket.
    (or upload via www.RoyalRender.de/upload_r.php)
Kind regards,
Paolo

Hi

>The specified module could not be found

This error means that the redshift4maya.mll is missing a different .dll file.

It might be the Visual Studio Redistributable package, but I do not know which Version of that package is used by Redshift.

You can download the Dependency Walker 64bit and load the redshift4maya.mll on your machine to see which first-level .DLL files are missing.

(First level only)

Hi

About the Dependency Walker:

Ignore all the error messages.

Use the top part of the application which shows a tree view.

Collapse all nodes and take a look at the first level .DLLs only.

Those dlls have to exist in the Maya folder or in Redshift.

Note: If you have an old RR version (old Maya.rrEnv file) , then Redshift is not setup right.

As they have moved a .DLL file.

Just to confirm:

  1. Do you start the Maya UI?
  2. Or do you try to render via Royal Render?

If you try to render via Royal Render, then please follow the steps that Paolo stated to export a debug info file.
