rrdtool xport equivalent for json?

Is there an equivalent function in rrd4j for rrdtool xport --json? i.e. to export the rrd file in json format?

I know that it exports in xml, but that's not what I'm looking for.

No. And XML export is really hard coded, so it's not easy to make export more generic.
